2024: Tuwalang, His Sister, and the Son of Panolingsing: An Obo Manobo Epic

This episode of Tuwalang and his unnamed sister was recorded in Barangay Manobo, Magpet, Cotabato. As far as the research team knows, there has been no other previous documentation of this epic, though Mindanao is known as the home of various epic narratives such as the Agyu and Sandayo. There is also reason to believe that Tuwalang in this epic is related to other heroes Tuwaang and Tolalang from the geographically contiguous areas of Arakan, Cotabato, and San Fernando, Bukidnon (respectively), perhaps forming a cultural corridor of linked epic traditions.
