ICIAH2024 aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging innovative solutions that transcend traditional single-discipline approaches. It focuses on how diverse fields can contribute to addressing complex health challenges. In contrast, MSHealth will focus on policies and practices to strengthen the resilience of health systems in Mindanao, ensuring they are equipped to withstand various shocks and serve diverse populations.
The Health R&D Expo aligns with broader health research priorities in Mindanao, as defined by the Regional Unified Health Research Agenda (RUHRA) 2023–2028. This agenda emphasizes pressing issues such as disease management, health security, vulnerable populations, and health technology innovation, which are also key themes under the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA). These research priorities aim to improve health outcomes across Mindanao, fostering collaboration between stakeholders and communities to create effective and sustainable health interventions.
This event is co-funded by the DOST Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) through RHRDC XI, the UP System Office of International Linkages (UP OIL), Office of Research through its research fund, and the Mindanao Center for Disease Watch and Analytics.
